Fields to choose after B.Pharm:-
PHARMACIST:- After finishing 4 years of Bachelor of pharmacy, your eligible to apply for Pharmacy license. With that license you can work as a pharmacist or you can start your own Pharmacy shop.
DRUG INSPECTOR:- As the name says, The Drug Inspector is the responsible authority to confirm and evaluate the Quality of medicine/drug in the companies. It got a separate procedure and selection process which includes drug inspector exam etc. The salary and job satisfaction will be more, so highly recommended.
HOSPITAL DRUG COORDINATOR:- Multispecialty Hospitals will be dealing with plenty of Medicines in the pharmacy. So it is necessary to keep a track to detect expiry dates and to cross refer with the patients it is prescribed. That work is done by hospital drug coordinator and mostly experienced people are recruited.
DRUG THERAPIST:- Counselor who helps people to get out of drug abuse and addiction problems. This department is not encouraged much in India. Only few multispecialty hospitals are providing this service and you don't need B.pharm degree for that.
HEALTH INSPECTOR:- Similar to drug Inspector but health Inspector makes sure the quality and standards of the process followed in various companies in sanitization process.
MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION:- Role of Medical transcriptionists (MT) is to transcribe the voice recorded medical reports from physicians and other health care practitioners. Mostly desk job with less salary.
SALES AND MARKETING:- Highly demanded and pressured department in the pharmacy companies. This departments effort decides the sales growth of that respective products from that companies. So if your got the skill to survive in this department the it is highly recommended.
CLINICAL RESEARCH:- Research field in any department is highly appreciable but to enter that research department you have to finish your masters and must have worked in many projects and thesis.
REGULATORY AFFARIR:- Regulatory affair department in companies place a crucial role in getting license or approval for a specific product from that company to market it. It includes submission of documents like evaluation studies, premises approval etc to get approval from the government. That work is done by Regulatory affair department employees and respective authorities in the government. so opportunity is open from both sides.
PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY:- As a Employee in pharmaceutical Industry in different departments like Quality control, Regulatory affairs, Production, Research etc.
HOSPITAL PHARMACIST:- As a Pharmacist in highly reputed multispecialty hospital, sometimes master degree candidates are reputed.
STATE DRUG TESTING:- As a government drug testing authority of respective state laboratories.
RAILWAY PHARMACIST:- As a pharmacist in Railway department.
ARMY PHARMACIST:- As a pharmacist in Army.
Scope for Higher Studies after B.Pharm:
Based on the above options it is their personal decision to pursue job or Business. But candidates who are passionate about research and wants to secure a great job opportunity in companies then I suggest you guys to take up Masters (Post graduation Degree). The growth is limited if you got only undergraduate degree in any medical field.

-Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)- Highly suggested and taken up by many after bachelor of Pharmacy.
-M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry
-Management Program in Pharmacy
-Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Trial Management
-Integrated Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research and Pharmaco-vigilance Course in clinical research
-MBA
-Drug Store Management Course
After these post graduation courses, many go for Ph.D and continue their research in their respective medical domains. So after all it depends on the passion, their goal and their perspective about the situation they are facing.
