Honest Review By Pharmacy student:-

Overall:- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) focuses more into chemistry field. It includes new molecular development, drug molecular analysis, Designing of drug molecule etc. But the sad part is, To achieve success in above mentioned things you have to pursue higher studies, you should be passionate about it and has to scarifies your life to studies which is nothing but Passion. So it's  wonderful course to those are passionate about chemistry and interested achieving something in medical field.

Meanwhile it will be a terrible experience if you are not more into chemistry and not into pursuing higher studies. There is no much growth in India with just B.pharm degree. Many B.pharm students are forced to do higher studies to get a job in great companies or to work in some research. Graduates with just one B.pharm (undergraduate) degree are ending up in unsatisfied job with low salaries.

So Pursue this course only if your interested or passionate about it and got some future plans with it, otherwise you will end up in some low salary job.

Business or Job after B.pharm? Which is Best?

Job:- All the Pharmacy companies are looking forward for experienced candidates. So if your fresh graduate with no experience then you have to work in some pharmacy company for minimum 2 years to gain the knowledge about how it works which is nothing but experience. The irony is once you join the company you will come to know whatever you studied in collage is outdated and you have to learn everything from scratch in the company.  That's the main reason why companies go for experienced candidates instead of Fresh candidates, It saves lot of time to reputed companies.

Business:-  Few pursue B.pharm with the idea of entering Business (Pharmacy shop) but many decide to enter business in the final year after knowing the salaries they will get in jobs. Business is always great when we compare it with the 9-5 job, but you should have guts to take risk and obviously 10-20 lakhs investment. With Heavy competition going among the apps like 1mgMedplus etc getting success with pharmacy shop requires lot of strategies and patience. And most important thing is there is no rule that says you will get success in the business, if your strategies and customer service is great then you might get the expected success in it. So go for the business if your ready to take the risk and if you know what your doing!!

Mainly if your goal is to enter business then you don't need to pursue 4 years course (B.Pharm), you can go for 2 years course (D.pharm). After finishing D.pharm, you can apply for Pharmacy license and can start your business with that license.

"Every Indian is Born as an Entrepreneur but the circumstances force him to pursue something else"

Lack of Support, Investment, Mentors, experience, strategies, Patience and family pressure etc forces many B.pharm students to take up 9-5 Job. If your one of them then think wisely before entering into the following departments  because your growth depends on that.

Abroad Studies After B.Pharm:-

Pharmacist are well praised and welcomed in other countries like Ireland, Canada, USA etc. Abroad countries recognize Pharmacist and pharmacy profession as a Professional and highly respective medical field. Sadly in India Pharmacist is just a medicine dispensing person and it's just a medical shop. Medical Profession became a Business market in India, which completely ignored the ethics in it.

So If you got an opportunity to study in abroad countries then select it wisely. It is a best option for the people who wants to settle in abroad. Returning to India after finishing your Post graduation studies in abroad may not be a good idea.
